Tarisayi Matongo is a qualified bioprocess engineer (MSC, UCT) by training.
He is currently employed in the Science & Innovation department at Biovac in South Africa as an Upstream Scientist, where he is involved in the development, optimization, scale-up and technology transfer of process unit operations for production of target APIs. In addition to work at Biovac, he volunteers his time to the African Vaccine Manufacturing Initiative (AVMI) Secretariat as administrative support.
